MINDFULNESS CAN HELP IN DARK TIMES

With war returning to Europe, many of us are experiencing a complex mix of emotions, including fear and sadness as well as compassion and hope.

This month the organisation ‘Action for Happiness’ is encouraging us to ‘pause, breathe and find ways to live more mindfully’. They explain that ‘Mindfulness can help us respond more calmly even in dark times and inner peace can contribute to outer peace too’. You can check out their website to see how they suggest we do this here : Action for Happiness March.

Amongst any other action you may be taking this is definitely a time to practice some self kindness to deal with difficult emotions too.

With the Dalai Lama as their patron, Action for Happiness is a movement of people taking action to create a happier and kinder world, together.

Between 2014 and 2016 I took time out to travel alone around Europe, blogging about my experiences, discoveries and personal development on journeywithmetoo.wordpress.com One of the many beautiful lessons I learned was the possibility of self-discovery and personal growth at any age. I am now passionate about achieving and encouraging successful ageing and making this a Silver Not Grey journey. I hope that Age With Me can inform, inspire, and accompany you on your silver journey.
